• Don't use cotton buds to  since this practice can compact the wax and make it more difficult to remove. There is aso danger of damaging the ear drum
• Pharmacists advice on how to use wax removal drops
• Do not use wax removing ear drops if you have perforation of the ear drum, ear infection or have broken skin or an underlying skin condition
• Some ear drops contain peanut oil which can trigger a severe reaction in those who are allergic to peanuts
