Description

  • Glycerol belongs to a group of medicines which due to its mildly irritating action promotes the emptying of the bowels
  • Used as a laxative for short term treatment of constipation

Active Ingredient

Suppository contains

  • Glycerol 70% w/w

Directions

  • Adults - moisten the tip of the suppository before use and insert into the rectum (back passage)

Caution

  • Do not swallow
  • Avoid using during the first 3 months of pregnancy
  • Do not use if you beleive you have an intenal blockage
  • Keep out of the reach and sight of children

Consult your doctor or pharmacist if

  • Your symptoms persist
  • You know you are sensitive to any of the ingredients
  • You are pregnent, planning to become pregnent or breastfeeding

Side effects

Can sometimes cause side effects although these are usually minor

  • Stomach cramp
