Glycerol Suppositories
Description
- Glycerol belongs to a group of medicines which due to its mildly irritating action promotes the emptying of the bowels
- Used as a laxative for short term treatment of constipation
Active Ingredient
Suppository contains
- Glycerol 70% w/w
Directions
- Adults - moisten the tip of the suppository before use and insert into the rectum (back passage)
Caution
- Do not swallow
- Avoid using during the first 3 months of pregnancy
- Do not use if you beleive you have an intenal blockage
- Keep out of the reach and sight of children
Consult your doctor or pharmacist if
- Your symptoms persist
- You know you are sensitive to any of the ingredients
- You are pregnent, planning to become pregnent or breastfeeding
Side effects
Can sometimes cause side effects although these are usually minor
- Stomach cramp
