Description

• For the treatment of herpes simplex virus infections of the lips and face(herpes labialis) in adults and children over 12 years of age

Active Ingredients

Cream contains

• Penciclovir 1.0% w/w

Directions

• At the first signs of infection,apply at approximately two hourly intervals during waking hours (approx 8x a day)
• Treatment should be continued for 4 days

Caution

Do not use this preparation

• If you are allergic to penciclovir, famiciclovir or any other constituents of the cream
• Inside your mouth, in or near your eyes, or on the genitals
• It should only be applied to cold sores on the lips and surrounding skin

Please see your doctor before using this medicine if

• You are unsure that your sore is a cold sore
• Your cold sore is particularly severe
• You have a condition or are receiving treatment which weakens your immune system
• You are pregnant or breast feeding
