Anadin Extra Caplets
Description
- Symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain including headache, migraine, neuralgia, toothache, sore throat, period pains, symptomatic relief of sprains, strains, rheumatic pain, sciatica, lumbago, fibrositis, muscular aches and pains, joint swelling and stiffness, symptoms of cold and influenza
Each tablet contains
- Paracetamol 200 mg
- Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) 300 mg
- Caffeine 45 mg
Directions
- Adults - 2 tablets every 4 hours
- Maximum 8 tablets in 24 hours
- Children under 16 - do not give to under 16 except on medical advice
Caution
- Aspirin - Do not take aspirin if you are allergic to aspirin or to any other ingredients, have a stomach ulcer or have haemophilia. Avoid in asthmatics and pregnancy particularly the final trimester
- You should ask your doctor before taking aspirin if you are taking medicines for blood clots (thrombosis) such as warfarin or gout such as probenecid
Side Effect
- In people sensitive to aspirin, reactions such as asthma attacks and skin rashes may occur occasionally
- Aspirin may induce gastric irritation, nausea, dyspepsia and stomach bleeding
- Consult yor doctor or pharmacist if you have any side effects after taking this product
- Caffeine may cause nausea, headache and insomnia
- Side effects with Paracetamol are rare but should you experience skin rash or other side effects report to your doctor or pharmacist
- Paracetamol taken in high doses may effect the use of metoclopramide, domperidone and anticoagulants including warfarin
