  • Aquaban contains two diuretics that help you get rid of the water that builds up in the body's tissues and cells and relieve the uncomfortable puffiness and tenderness associated with PMS

What is water retention?

  • Also known as "Cyclical Oedema", water retention is commonly used to describe the retention of excess fluid by the body. This is often caused by hormonal changes that encourage the body to retain more water than usual. Instead of passing water naturally through urine and sweat, the body stores it up in different parts of the body. This can lead to swelling and a general feeling of bloating
  • Many women experience this condition on a monthly basis as part of pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS). Common symptoms include gaining weight and swelling in the hands, ankles and abdomen which can cause clothes, rings and even shoes to become uncomfortable
  • The trouble is many women don't recognise this change in their bodies as water retention and more often than not they just put up with it. Also, most don't even know that there are products which can help

  • It's recommended that you start taking Aquaban tablets for 4-5 days before the start of your period

  • Aquaban should not be taken if you are pregnant. However it may be used during breast feeding if required
  • Aquaban should only be used to alleviate pre-menstrual water retention in the days leading up to your period, it should not be used at other times of the month
  • If your symptoms are more frequent or severe then water retention may be due to other causes rather than PMS, and you should consider visiting your doctor
