Description

  • Brushing with Corsodyl Dental Gel inhibits the formation of dental plaque

Corsodyl Dental Gel can be used an an aid to

  • Treat and prevent gingivitis (gum disease)
  • Maintain mouth hygiene
  • Promote gum healing after surgery
  • Manage recurring mouth ulcers
  • Manage denture sore mouth and oral thrush

Active Ingredient

Gel contains

  • Chlorhexidine Digluconate  1% (equivalent to 5% v/w Chlorhexidine Digluconate Solution Ph Eur)

Directions

  • Gingivitis, oral hygiene - Brush your teeth for at least one minute once or twice daily using 2cm of gel. Continue the treatment for about one month
  • Ulcers, Thrush - Apply the gel directly to the sore areas using your fingertip or a cotton bud. Continue to use for two days after healing has occured
  •  Denture sore mouth - Smear gel lightly over the fitting surfaces of the dentures before insertion; cleanse and soak the dentures in Corsodyl mouthwash for 15 minutes twice daily
  •  Dental surgery - Use as directed by your dentist

Caution

  • Corsodyl Dental Gel may cause some discoloration of the tongue and teeth, but this is not permanent, and disappears after treatment is stopped
  • Keep out of the eyes and ears
  • If contact occurs, wash out promptly and thoroughly with water
  • Not intended to be swallowed. Accidentally swallowing this product is unlikely to cause harm. However, if you are concerned, consult your doctor or pharmacist
  • For oral use only
  • Avoid bleaching any fabrics that have been in contact with the gel, as brown stains may develop
  • Keep safely away from children
  • Do not use if you are sensitive to chlorhexidine or any of the other ingredients

 Tooth staining can be prevented by

  • Brushing daily with a conventional toothpaste, and rinsing the mouth throughly with water before using Corsodyl Dental Gel
  • Avoid tannin-containing food and drinks (eg: tea, coffee and red wine) for at least one hour after using Corsodyl Dental Gel
