Merocaine Lozenges

Description

• Fast acting, provides temporary relief of pain (approx 1 to 2 hours)and discomfort in sore throat and superficial minor mouth infections.

Active Ingredients

Lozenge Contains

• Benzocaine 10mg
• Cetylpyridinium chloride 1.4mg

Directions

• Adults - 1 lozenge to be dissolved slowly in the mouth every 2 hours or as needed
• Maximum 8 lozenges in 24 hours
• Children - not to be given

Caution

• Care with hot drinks since this product contains a local anaesthetic

Consult a doctor if your sore throat

• Is mild and lasts for more than 2 weeks
• Is severe and does not improve after 3 days
• Is in a child with a fever and persistent sore throat
• There is pain on opening mouth
• You also have a cough with blood stained sputum
• You have difficulty breathing
• You have a skin rash
• You have a swelling on one side of the throat with severe pain hoarseness of voice which does not improve with time or treatment
• You have severe joint pains,neck stiffness and dislike of bright lights
