About the author's

The late Margaret Hills SRN, trained at St. Stephen's Hospital in London, until her training was cut short by crippling heart disease and arthritis. Against all the odds she fought back and went on to marry, have eight children and pursue a long career as an industrial nurse. She developed her own method of natural treatment for arthritis, and in 1982 she opened a clinic in Coventry. She wrote several best-selling books based on her experience and success. They were Treating Arthritis — The Drug-Free Way, Treating Arthritis: More ways to a drug-free life and Treating Arthritis Diet Book all published by Sheldon Press.

Janet Horwood is features editor of Choice magazine and has a particular interest in health matters. She is the author of several books including Comfort for Depression (Sheldon 1988). She is married with three children and lives in Kent.
