Description

• Relief of heartburn, indigestion and excess stomach acid and prevention of these symptoms associated with consumption of food and drink
• Ranitidine works in a novel way compared to simple antacids which just neutralise acid
• It belongs to a class of medicines called H2-blockers
• These block the action of histamine on stomach cells, thus reducing stomach acid production at source and lasts up to 12 hours

Active Ingredients

Tablet contains

• Ranitidine (as hydrochloride) 75mg

Directions

• Adults 16 years and over and elderly - 1 tablet taken with water as soon as symptoms occur
• If symptoms persist for more than 1 hour or return, another tablet can be taken
• Maximum 4 tablets in 24 hours
• Under 16 years - not to be taken
• For prevention of symptoms associated with food and drink, 1 tablet with water, half to one hour before eating or drinking

Caution

• The maximum daily dose should not be taken for more than 14 days consecutively without seeing your doctor
• Not to be used in liver disease or kidney failure patients
• If taking Non steroidal Anti-inflammatories e.g. ibuprofen please consult with your doctor
